I will start by saying that I know how challenging and rewarding studying at the OU is, as I did it for four years as an undergraduate, followed by a year out and then another four years for my MBA.

I have had a diverse career taking me across the world as a musician and manager. After some time as a regular in the British Army I now serve as an army reserve officer in The Royal Yeomanry.

I enjoy working for the OU Business School because it has such a great reputation with its triple accreditation and quality materials but more importantly because supporting students on their professional journey is very rewarding especially as they have a great wealth of experience that we can all share.

I was curious about teaching for the OU as a long term student and believer in the access mission. I love helping students become better than they think they can be at things.

The thing I most like about teaching at the OU is definitely the students. We have such a diverse and interesting student body. I learn as much from them about current business thinking and practices as the students learn from me.

I like the diversity and the depth of talent we get to work with. Students and colleagues come from such a broad range of situations and backgrounds.

Abigail enjoys teaching at the OU and particularly loves witnessing students’ growth, knowing she’s contributing to their personal and professional development.

In his varied career, tutoring for The Open University Business School is easily the most rewarding thing he has ever done.
