The Trusted Executive: Nine Habits that Inspire Results, Relationships and Reputation

Nine Habits that Inspire Results, Relationships and Reputation. Wednesday 17 May 1pm - 2pm

Wednesday 17 May 1pm - 2pm

How can leaders deliver outstanding results, create inspiring relationships and provide a positive contribution through the power of trustworthy leadership?

In the pandemic-shifted world of business, affected by trends involving the climate crisis, ESG, anti-bullying and diversity and inclusion, trust and truthfulness have become THE agenda. But how can business leaders build trust in an untrusting world?

Dr John Blakey describes the tools leaders need to build trust by focusing on challenging coaching techniques and the nine habits of trust. The Nine Habits model - the only academically verified behavioural model of trust arising from six years research at Aston Business School – is described in John’s book “The Trusted Executive”.

Join us, as John shares transformational coaching techniques for leaders in the 21st century and the important primary role of trust as a leadership skill: how to build trust and develop role modelling behaviours, how to lead transformational change and develop strategies to deal with unwanted violations of trust.

Presenter: John Blakey

Dr John Blakey is the founder of The Trusted Executive, a leadership development organisation that helps board leaders across all sectors adapt to the 'new normal' of trust-based leadership using the unique models and tools from John's books 'The Trusted Executive' and 'Challenging Coaching'.

'The Trusted Executive' book combines prize-winning research to create the Nine Habits of Trust at Aston Business School, together with the learnings from John's successes (and failures!) as a former FTSE 100 international managing director and serial entrepreneur. The book was shortlisted as the Chartered Management Institute book of the year in 2017.

'Challenging Coaching', co-authored with Ian Day, is one of the UK's best-selling leadership books and features the FACTS coaching model. It was inspired by John's executive coaching work with over 130 CEOs from 22 different countries, as well as the leaders of gold-medal winning Team GB Olympic squads, premiership football clubs and England cricket.
