The Alumni and Careers Network is run by the Stakeholder and Alumni Engagement team based at The Open University Business School at Walton Hall in Milton Keynes. The team is here to act as an effective link between you, your fellow alumni and the OU Business School.

The team manages the Alumni Engagement programme and manages the relationship with the Alumni Council, which works closely with the Business School's senior academic leadership in an advisory role to provide ‘critical friend’ perspectives, and international business and management expertise to support the delivery of the School's aims and objectives.

Meet the team

Astrid Alvarez, Senior Manager, Stakeholder and Alumni Engagement

Astrid is responsible for leading and managing the team, works across both strategy and operations, oversees all projects and resource allocation.

Kulvir Bahra, Digital Development Manager

Kulvir is responsible for delivering the digital strands of the team’s objectives, including managing websites, providing website content including video and blogs, support and training to web editors within FBL, and all aspects of social media management and evaluating metrics for continuous improvement.

Sam Butler, Stakeholder and Alumni Engagement Coordinator

Sam assists with the delivery of all the team's activity, including website editing, event delivery, social media and alumni engagement.

Marcus Crawley, Stakeholder Communications and Projects Manager (FBL Internal Comms)

Marcus manages a wide range of communications and projects and liaises with colleagues throughout the OU. He manages FBL internal comms in particular, part of the Deanery team, he works closely with SAE.

Emily Hill, Events and Engagement Manager

Emily manages our events programme to engage our community across students, alumni and staff; engagement aims to raise the profile of The Open University Business School and Law School, and to foster advocacy among our stakeholder and alumni ambassadors.
