Are you an introverted leader or someone who is introverted but feels put off from leadership positions because of that? If so, we would love to hear from you.
We are conducting a ground-breaking research project focused on Introverted Leadership and aspirations of introverted individuals who feel put off from applying for leadership positions because they are put off by the thought they may have to be more extroverted, in order to do a good job.
Leadership is often presumed to be linked with extraversion and as a result, many introverts are not earmarked for leadership, or are put off applying for leadership positions. We want to understand why this may be and also investigate how those that are introverts, rose to leadership positions and cope once there. In gaining insights into their experiences, challenges, and strategies they adopt in order to thrive, we aim to use these insights to inform leadership preparation and development, as well as inclusive leadership succession planning.
Why participate? By sharing your insights, you can contribute to a deeper understanding of introverted leadership and help pave the way for more inclusive and effective leadership practices. Your voice matters, and your perspective can make a significant impact on the world of leadership (and neurodiversity and leadership).
Format: Virtual (Microsoft Teams – the sessions will be recorded)
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes

All interviews will be kept confidential, and the anonymity of participants and their organisations will be protected.
Who can participate? If you identify as an introverted leader, whether in a corporate setting, nonprofit, community organization, or any other field, we welcome your participation. Your unique perspective is invaluable to our research.
