New frontiers on the rise: Dynamics and trends of renewable energy entrepreneurship in Africa

This study seeks to examine how renewable energy startups of diverse African origins and configurations adapt their dynamic capabilities (DCs) to the rapid institutional changes and complexities in many African emerging markets and/or develop new ones. It will also investigate why some of these startups perform better than others in adapting to various African contexts, especially the unfavourable institutional frameworks.

It is expected that the study will contribute to the emerging knowledge base surrounding renewable energy use in African countries and beyond. The research also aims to provide support to the understanding of the foundational theories within the context of African emerging markets.
