The Open University Business School and the University of Delhi’s Faculty of Management Studies have developed a free online short course to introduce learners to the concept of empowerment in organisational research.

The Open University has launched a new media partnership with Sky and Channel 5 as part of its wider ‘Ambition’ advertising campaign. A series of OU and Sky co-branded TV adverts tell the stories of four students who have landed new jobs with Sky, demonstrating the credibility of an OU qualification and the employability of OU students with respected organisations.

As 2019 draws to a close, so too does the 50th anniversary year of The Open University.

Since its inception back in 1969, the OU’s raison d’être has been to make education available to all. And what a huge success it has made of this, educating students across 157 countries and becoming the largest academic institution in the UK. As I reflect upon my own OU experience, I’m proud to say that I have been, and continue to be a part of this inclusive and life-changing institution.

The conference, which forms part of the OU’s 50th anniversary celebrations, has attracted some 150 delegates from various parts of Africa and the rest of the world, offering an opportunity to collaborate and co-create an ambitious vision for learning for the next 50 years and beyond.

The OU’s 2018-19 Annual Report, published this week, celebrates some of the highlights of an outstanding 50th anniversary year.

Executive Dean of the Business and Law Schools, Professor Devendra Kodwani,hosted a lecture for new and returning Business and Law School students Wednesday 20 November. This new initiative took place in the Berrill Theatre and for an online audience via YouTube Live.
