What do I teach at the OU?

Finance and accounting modules including:

B124 – Fundamentals of accounting
B250 – Intermediate financial accounting
B294 – Financial analysis and decision making
B391 – Management accounting and international finance

What is your profession/background?

Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), MBA Open University.

I have extensive experience in senior positions in UK public sector accounting and financial management. Mostly worked in local authority and police finance.

What led me to teaching at the OU?

During my postgraduate studies with the OU my tutors were invaluable. I had no doubt I was able to complete my MBA thanks to the excellent support and encouragement I got from my tutors. From that experience I committed myself to payback if I ever had the opportunity. With several years of experience as AL, I remain committed to payback.

What do I like about teaching at the OU?

I am inspired by the values of the OU of being inclusive, innovative and responsive. These values are always at the heart of my interactions with our students.
