I teach on a variety of programmes and short courses, mainly in the area of Organisational Leadership. I am an Associate Lecturer on the SLMDA and the SLA and I am a Study Advisor on the People Management and Leadership Microcredential as well as being a Tutor on some of the short courses in Business Management offered by the University.

I am a senior academic in Leadership and Business Management with over 30 years’ experience in both higher & adult education (lecturing and management) in the UK and in France. I am bilingual (English / French) having previously lived in France for 15 years. I hold a Professional Doctorate in Leadership and Education (Research into Leader-Follower dynamics in the Higher Education context) and am a qualified Executive Coach. Throughout my career I have taught across a wide range of subjects to diverse audiences, both academic and corporate. I have experience of managing teams of people, as a management consultant and working with external organisations as well as teaching at different levels to students of diverse origins. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Member of the British Academy of Management and Associate Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

I came to the OU in order to return to my teaching roots in Leadership, having initially seen the work that was being done on the SLMDA. This role enables me to combine my experience and research in the field of Leadership with my passion for working with students, particularly in applied learning in the workplace. The OU is a great organisation to work for and the courses I teach on allow me extensive one-on-one contact with my students, giving me the opportunity to get to know them better, which makes the role all the more rewarding.
