I lecture on the postgraduate module “B206 Understanding Customers” for the Business School.
This is a good fit with my significant work experience (50+ years) across multiple industries and with my other academic work with Leeds Business School since 2019 (where I lecture and research across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes).
I am an OBS Alumni having completed a company-sponsored MBA in 1996 while working in the Energy industry and have that empathy with our students going through similar challenges to those I experienced balancing family, work and study in parallel. I then worked for the Business School in the late 90’s as an Associate Lecturer for 4 years before coming back full circle in 2021.
I really enjoy working with a wide range of students and always learning things together as we progress through a module presentation, and its especially pleasing to see students progress over that duration. I think I learn more than some of them which is great for me as we all need to keep learning and improving ourselves.
Fun fact – don’t laugh too much – arguably my first job was as a child fashion model for a catalogue company in the 1960’s….my mother’s fault.
