The Open University has commissioned a new survey of 18–19-year-olds in England which shows that nearly 1 in 2 (49%) have reconsidered going to university in the last year because of the rising cost of living. 

Italian MSc Human Resource Management (HRM) students from the University of Cagliari were at the OU’s campus in Milton Keynes for two days in late April as part of a UK trip.

The Open University Business and Law Schools held our annual Student and Alumni Awards on Friday 21 October 2022. Awards were presented to exceptional students from the faculty, and postgraduate business alumni who have made an outstanding contribution to society.

The Open University Business and Law Schools recently enjoyed a double celebration for the achievements of our fantastic students and alumni.

Congratulations to Open University Business School PhD graduate Nicola Croxton who passed her PhD viva on 13 October 2020.

"The Future Leader Fund has enabled me to fast-track my acceptance to an MBA, which I wouldn't have otherwise been able to fund at this point. I am grateful to those alumni who made the scholarship possible."

It hasn’t been easy juggling work and study, but Dominic was determined to overcome the challenge. Although football has always been his passion, he saw the opportunity to study a degree as a way to prepare for life after the game.
