Dedicating a career spanning more than 30 years to charity retail, MBA graduate Maria Chenoweth has been awarded The Open University’s prestigious degree of Honorary Doctor, in recognition of her lifelong work championing the social and environmental benefits of second-hand fashion.

The Open University Business School has been granted a Bronze ‘departmental’ award following its recent Athena SWAN submission to Advance HE, the British professional membership scheme which promotes excellence in higher education.

The Open University Business and Law Schools recently enjoyed a double celebration for the achievements of our fantastic students and alumni.

In 2021, the awards invited entrants to show how they inspired a lifelong learning culture, innovated in learning and development, supported business and organisational goals, or connected their people to virtual learning.

The Business School has retained its coveted ‘triple crown’ status until 2024 following an unprecedented period of activity and a bumper year of virtual reaccreditation visits.
