Joseph is an experienced Strategy Advisor and Management Consultant with a successful track record in diverse sectors, specializing in sustainable business, banking, financial services, IT and Public sector. With proven expertise in managing multi-sectoral projects, employing diverse frameworks, and utilizing analytical skills for research, innovation, strategy planning, business analysis and change management.
He provides support services for a tech start-up addressing climate change by improving crop yield and achieving carbon sequestration through AI and sustainable data-driven insights and innovation. Hitherto, he was a Strategy Advisor and Consultant to several businesses within and outside Nigeria. He holds a second-class upper B.Sc. Hons in Physics from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria (with an unpublished research work covering the Measurement of conductivity/resistivity rate of water - as a general measure of water quality in Kano, Nigeria) and an MBA from the prestigious Cranfield University, United Kingdom.
His past experiences have prepared him for this PhD studentship at the Open University, to pursue his passion for research in the field of sustainability, to influence and advance the university’s sustainability research agenda in a dynamic global environment. Additionally, his research interests include strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership.

This PhD research is motivated by the imperative to comprehend social innovation dynamics in climate change contexts, and it aims to foster a deeper understanding of how social innovation can contribute significantly to sustainable climate change solutions.
It seeks to underscore the contribution of social innovation processes in tackling the global challenge of climate change. By investigating the dynamics of social innovation in climate change mitigation, the research aspires to provide valuable insights and recommendations for researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders engaged in addressing the climate change through social innovation processes.
