I teach B124, Fundamentals of Accounting.

I qualified as a Scottish Chartered Accountant (ICAS) in 1992 but in 1994 I decided that I wanted to teach accounting, so became a lecturer. I have a PGCE in Tertiary Level Teaching Methods and my submission was used as an exemplar for further GCU lecturers to gain membership of the ILT (now Advance HE).

I applied to join OU at the start of covid because I had been thrown into the deep end of online teaching when we went into lockdown when at GCU and I felt that I was unprepared. I knew that OU had been teaching remotely, successfully for decades and I could learn from their success.

I completed the three online certificates for remote teaching, so I learned lots. I enjoy using the Adobe teaching platform. The students are grateful for the help and feedback that you provide.

I enjoy baking and craft activities.
