Applications welcomed to join the Alumni Council

Do you want to give something back by becoming a member of The Open University Business School’s Alumni Council?

The Alumni Council enshrine the School’s core values to be open, inclusive, innovative and responsive. The mission of the Alumni representative body, is to support the growth of OUBS through enhancing alumni networks to create a global community and deliver value to its members.

The Alumni Council plays an integral role within the School, usually meeting four times per year via face-to-face and virtual meetings. Led by Professor Mark Fenton-O'Creevy, the Council advises the School and University on alumni matters at a strategic level, as well as delivering projects that add value directly to the Alumni community.

OUBS with the assistance of the Alumni Council, is working on three areas of reputation building for the School:

  • building reputation in the corporate world
  • building international reputation
  • building reputation with philanthropic and corporate sponsors through practice engaged research

We are particularly looking for support in the third stream and encourage applicants who have expertise, experience or a network that has facilitated this type of work.

We welcome applications via an online form and a CV emailed to alumni-council@open.ac.uk. Previous applicants are encouraged to apply.

The closing date to apply for this round of applications is noon on Monday 12 March 2018. Further information on the Council remit and terms of engagement can be found here.
