Sponsored by The Open University, theHRDIRECTOR roundtable debate held in December 2020 explored the challenges and opportunities in the drive to achieve a truly diverse workforce.
The forum aimed to uncover why there are still obstacles in the way for so many minority groups gaining access apprenticeships and what must be done by employers, governments and providers to better support diversity in the workplace and provide that much needed diverse talent pipeline for employers.
Featured on Page 12 of theHRDIRECTOR, Andrew McGregor-Taylor, Learning & Development Lead from North Yorkshire Police and Mette Laszkiewicz, Co-Director of Education (Interim) from Surrey & Borders NHS Trust joined the OU’s Viren Patel, Director of Business Development Unit, and Laura Burley, Apprenticeships Ambassador, on the panel.
Moving to the police constable degree apprenticeship, we have worked with the Open University - our Higher Education Institution provider - which has been a brilliant partner for us, utilising their strategies and marketing to target diverse communities.
