Easy Talks for Common Good

This event, marking Human Resource Professional Day, is organised by the International Common Good HRM Network in collaboration with the CGHRM Research Cluster of The Open University Business School.

The guest speaker is OU alumnus Dr Brian Matthews (Assistant Professor, Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria). In this way, we pay tribute to those working in HR departments all around the world and who try to make a world better every single day! His research relates to Common Good HRM. He also teaches Human Resource Development (HRD) and new innovative course on Common Good HRM - Introducing a new paradigm. His research is focused on developing the new concept of Common Good HRM and how issues of stakeholder inclusion, employee engagement and workplace democracy can enrich the debate around Sustainable HRM.

What is Common Good HRM? Common Good Human Resource Management (CGHRM) is an emerging field that connects HRM with sustainability through the lens of ethics and social justice. It enables researchers in this field to gain deep insights into contemporary HRM and practices that effectively address societal challenges.
