Emeritus Professor Les Budd with be presenting a talk on the socio-economic decline of UK coastal towns.

His talk will explore the relative failure of policies, like the Coastal Communities Fund, to mitigate the decline. Drawing on his previous work, he will discuss how this path dependency of deterioration may be broken out of.
