Registration is now open for the 3rd Women in War and at War Conference, organised by The Open University Law School, The University of Warwick and Aberystwyth University on 15th and 16th September 2016 at The Open University, Milton Keynes. There are options for conference registration only or inclusive of the conference dinner on the evening of the 15th September. A discounted registration fee is available for PhD students. Additional guests are welcome at the conference dinner and there is a separate booking option for the dinner only.
We are delighted to announce that the Gendering International Relations Working Group of the British International Studies Association (BISA) is providing 5 bursaries to attend the conference (conference registration fee paid and £80 for travel and subsistence). Priority will be given to postgraduate students, early career researchers and the unemployed. You do not need to be a BISA member to apply, but priority will be given to members, so please explore BISA membership options. If you wish to apply for a bursary, please contact Julia Welland/Penny Griffin providing a brief statement on why you are applying and provide a small statement of support from your supervisor/Head of Department/line manager confirming the need for funding. The deadlines for receipt of applications is 31st August.
If you are awarded a bursary please do not register for the conference via the options below, we will contact you separately. However, the conference dinner is not covered by the bursary. BISA sponsored delegates wishing to attend the conference dinner should pay using option 5 below.
Delegates should make their own arrangements for accommodation. The Hilton Milton Keynes and Kents Hill Park are a short walk from The Open University. Please quote the OU to get the preferential rate.

In addition to the public bus services to and from The Open University to Milton Keynes Central Station, Souls Coaches operates a peak hour station shuttle bus. The shuttle service runs directly to the station (15 minutes). Further information and a timetable is available online.
Taxis are available outside the station, however a pre-booked service is likely to be cheaper. Some taxi company phone numbers are listed online.
Please note that your card payment will be acknowledged on screen but an automatic email will not be sent. Receipts are issued manually the next working day. Please contact us if you would prefer to be invoiced.
No refund will be given to delegates who fail to attend or whose cancellation we receive less than 10 working days prior to the specified event.
