Profile summary

Professional biography

I am currently a Lecturer in the Department for Public Leadership and Social Enterprise (PuLSE) and a member of The Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership (CVSL). Find out more about the centre here: http://www.open.ac.uk/CVSL. Prior to joining the OU I worked in the voluntary sector for several years in a variety of different roles spanning individual support, project delivery, policy development, and trusteeship.

Research interests

My research focuses on the voluntary sector and in particular how the sector works in collaboration with other organisations.

Recently I've been blogging about CVSL's work with voluntary sector Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) and you can find that work on the CVSL blog, here.

My PhD research investigated the role of the voluntary sector in an NHS Multispecialty Community Provider (MCP). You can find out more about this work on the CVSL webpages here and on the OU's Open Research Online (ORO) platform here.
