School receives prestigious AMBA reaccreditation

The Business School has secured renewal of its Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation following a successful visit in May.

AMBA accreditation is recognised globally as a mark of excellence in postgraduate management education. Fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide hold the prestigious ‘triple crown’ of accreditations awarded by the three leading international management education associations – AMBA; the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

The successful outcome follows a comprehensive review by an international AMBA panel which met with staff, students, alumni and corporate partners. The School thanks everyone who contributed to the reaccreditation process and shared their experiences and expertise.

Prof Keith Schofield, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL), said: 

Retaining our AMBA accreditation is a clear indication of the quality of the Business School's teaching, student support and student outcomes. It recognises the dedication and expertise of our staff, who provide exceptional student support and deliver a distinctive MBA learning experience that helps transform our students’ careers. We are delighted that the panel recognised both our commitment to student success and distinctiveness of our offer.”

The panel commended the Business School's clear commitment to its mission, dedication to its students, and student-centred learning experience. Particular recognition was given to the impressive infrastructure supporting the delivery of high-quality online MBA education.
