Siv Vangen interviewed OU alumna Sue Farrington Smith MBE, Chief Executive of the Milton Keynes-based Brain Tumour Research, to chronicle her life, career and how she became the leader of a multi-million pound charitable organisation.

The Professor of Collaborative Leadership conducted three face-to-face in-depth interviews with Sue, covering a range of topics and particularly concerning the inspiration for her fantastic fundraising efforts which date back to the early 2000s and the remarkable success story of the charity she helped co-found and now leads.

Sue was also the keynote speaker at the annual conference of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership (CVSL) on campus in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 9 July, receiving a £500 donation for Brain Tumour Research from the OU.
