Congratulations to Professor Kodwani!

The Interim Head of the Business School, Dev Kodwani, has been promoted to Professor. This is in recognition of his high level of achievement and standing as Associate Dean, Curriculum, Learning and Teaching in The Open University Business School (OUBS).

A delighted Dev, who has been part of OUBS since 2004, said:

I’m very happy to be promoted to Professor and I humbly accept this honour. I am grateful to so many fantastic colleagues including associate lecturers, Learning and Teaching Innovation (LTI) and Academic Services who have enabled me to contribute to various aspects of learning, teaching, research and leadership in the Faculty and the OU more widely. I will continue to work with colleagues to improve our learning and teaching to ultimately benefit our students.

Professor Mary Kellett, the Interim Executive Dean of the Faculty, added:

This is wonderful news and richly deserved for Dev, coming via the teaching route in The Open University’s promotion process. It is also excellent news for the Faculty that we are starting to see recognition for teaching excellence at chair level and valuing of this as a genuine promotion prospect.
