In 2018 The Open University’s Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership (CVSL) in partnership with MK Community Foundation and Community Action:MK, launched a pilot learning club. This enabled leaders of voluntary sector organisations to engage with the CVSL courses online and in addition benefit from peer-learning through facilitated learning club sessions. CVSL learning clubs have evolved over time and involved various organisations in England, Scotland, Europe and East and Central Africa.
Learning club sessions were initially held in person, but the Covid-19 restrictions led to a move to the virtual space. Technology has enabled learning clubs, whose membership is dispersed or have mobility and other challenging access issues, to emerge. Internationalisation of the learning clubs was one of the consequences of this.
This webinar will bring together academics and practitioners to share their learning and give tips to other leaders and organisations considering starting leadership development learning clubs. A panel of speakers will share their thoughts and ideas with the opportunity to ask questions.
