Biography

Having a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature and Master Degree in Management and International Relations from the University of Lincoln, she would now like to major on the Public Leadership and Social Enterprise area by concentrating on the Influence of Gender on Environmental Entrepreneurship.  Prior to joining the Open University as a doctoral student, Gizem founded the gkconsulting.Ltd which provides PR and translation (English-Turkis) services and personal tutor opportunities for Turkish students who study in the UK.

Current research

The Influence of Gender on Environmental Entrepreneurship

Gizem’s PhD research explores the influence of gender and formal institutions (Gov/NonGov) on the green entrepreneurship in Turkey. Her study’s main aim is to contribute to the gender and environmental entrepreneurship literature by examining and exploring this nascent area to provide a robust theoretical framework and to make an empirical contribution to this phenomenon that will inform the future studies and policymakers.
