Wenjin is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Leadership & Social Enterprise at The Open University Business School. She joined OU in July 2018, before that she worked in University of Portsmouth. Her research background is in the areas of Organisation Studies, Leadership, and Corporate Sustainability. She graduated with a PhD from the Centre for Leadership Studies, University of Exeter, and an MSc in Marketing from the University of Birmingham. Before moving to the UK, she worked as a managing consultant in Shanghai, China, gaining consultancy and cross-cultural management experience in the process.
Wenjin's research interest includes cultural understandings of Leadership, Corporate Sustainability, and the dynamics of translation and communicative processes. She is also interested in exploring materiality and the Daoist representations of organising. She is particularly into ethnography and visual methods.
Wenjin is interested in experiential learning through arts based methods. Currently she is chairing Module B325 'Managing across organisational and cultural boundaries', and co-chairing an MBA final year module B839 'Making a difference: the management initiative'. She is also part of the module team for BBXY857 'Leadership in practice'.
