Dr Charles Barthold completed a Masters in Philosophy at the University of Paris-Panthéon-Sorbonne (2006-2008) and a Masters in Social Sciences at Sciences-po Paris (2007-2009). Then, he was awarded a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at the School of Management of the University of Leicester. This allowed him to complete a PHD without corrections (2010-2015). He was a lecturer at Kingston university (2015-2017). His papers have been accepted by the British Academy of Management, the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) and Critical Management Studies among others.
Charles is interested in the intersection of financialisation and political and ethical responses to it. Similarly, he is interested in poststructuralist approaches, animal studies, corporate social responsibility and precarity.
